Port Listener is a simple, smart and easy-to-use programthat runs in the system tray. When activated, it opens a port that you specified for monitoring, so you can check if a certain user connect’s to that port.
Port Listener will make a sound (if you specified one) when a user connects, it will also give the user’s ip host etc and will keep a log of all connects.
The program also keeps sending a text which you specified to the user until he disconects from that port so he knows he has been catched.
Port Listener is created to catch those guys that do portscans on your system for a specific port, for instance the trojan (a trojan is a kind of virus that lets user control your pc remotly) sub7 which mostly runs at port 27374, so you let the program monitor on that port.
Then when someone is doing portscans to see if you are infected by sub7 you will be alarmed of this and the user keeps getting the text you specified in his portscanner (like 7th sphere) until he closes or reset the portscanner. So the person who did the portscan will know he is caught
You can then check the log for the persons ip and host and with this information you can find out what provider there using and find their providers web site to sent them an email informing them of the person that does these portscans (give an extract of the log with the date and time ) and they will make sure the person will be notified of these ‘illegal’ (in some countries portscanning is legal) actions.

Many options for you to customize the program.
You can choose the sound you want to play.
You can choose the text (if you specify one) you want to display.
You can choose the port number and the interval (how often to keep an eye on that port)
You can save/load a custom config file, and you can specify which day of the week you want the program to start to monitor that port.
You can specify that the ‘beep’ sound will be played when the log is full and you can specify if the program will wait for a user to disconnect or not.

þWS Port Listener is a free, full-featured program that runs in the system tray, opens a port for monitoring (you specify which port), makes a sound, and keeps a log of all connections to the port, if the user disconnects, he gets a text with your specified message, and so on until he disconnects or enters a wrong password.

Input Specification:
– The program runs in the system tray.

– When you set a message (you can also change the default message), you can select a sound that will be played when the user connection is detected.
– You can define a text that you want to show to those who are doing portscans.
– You can specify a time-out for the user to disconnect himself.
– If you don’t specify a time-out the program will disconnect the user automatically (if you set the sound).
– You can enable/disable the randomization feature.
– You can also enable/disable the search for other IP’s and host records.

What’s New In WS Port Listener?

Port Listener allows you to view and manage your users connections to the world, in case the program is not installed, you may be able to still view some of your users IP addresses.
You can view all connected users for each port and even the time they connected.
You can monitor both IP (IP Address) and host (Name, Description, User, Ip, Port, Length, Class, Flags, TCP or UDP, User, Port).
The program will also beep when a user connects/disconnects to a port you specified.
You can define a sound, you can even have an interrupt sound so you know a user connect/disconnect with any port.
This program does not use any of your resources, it runs in the system tray, a user will not notice the program is running.

Program Features:
